Esplorare Sens is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need and we never sell your data.

Information we collect

Account information: Your email address when you subscribe. Passwords are hashed. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe.
Subscription data: Plan type, currency, billing history, managed through Stripe.
Referral data: Your referral code, referred email addresses, and reward status if you participate in the referral programme.
Usage data: Aggregated analytics via Google Analytics. We do not track individual behaviour across other websites.
Waitlist data: Name, email, role, and stated priorities if you joined our waitlist.
Saved content: Bookmarks, notes, and highlights you create within the platform, stored securely and associated with your account.

How we use your information

To provide and maintain your subscription and access to content
To send login credentials and account-related communications
To process payments through Stripe
To operate the referral programme and apply rewards
To send editorial communications including new issue notifications
To improve the publication through aggregated usage analytics

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating Esplorare Sens.

Data sharing

We share data only with services necessary to operate Esplorare Sens:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
Supabase — secure database hosting for your account and content
Resend — transactional email delivery
Google Analytics — aggregated site analytics (anonymised)
Vercel — website hosting and delivery

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, we retain data for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate, then delete it. Aggregated anonymised analytics may be retained indefinitely.

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and remember your referral source. We use Google Analytics cookies for aggregated traffic analysis. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of Esplorare Sens after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
